France has just discovered a new way to defraud with the tachograph following a check on a truck carried out at the end of March.
Indeed, during a check on a Polish truck, the DREAL agents noticed a difference between the mileage traveled and that recorded in the tachograph.
After a lot of research and the connection with a Belgian service that had known the same case, the DREAL unveiled that is a modification of the internal software of the tachograph and the vehicle calculator.
This is the first case of this type encountered in France which will therefore lead to new criteria for controls.
