A device that collects brake particles at their origin

News of the 27/01/2023

Today there are more than a billion vehicles in circulation in the world, the exhaust gases from these vehicles contribute to air pollution. Automotive pollution is caused by several sources such as engines, brakes and tires.

Although the standards regulate engine emissions, brake and tire emissions are not yet regulated. 85% of emissions linked to the use of a vehicle are not regulated, including emissions of fine particles during braking.

To solve this problem, AKWEL, an equipment supplier for the automotive industry, is working with Tallano Technologie to develop a solution to reduce fine particle emissions caused by braking. The TAMIC solution, a system for collecting polluting microparticles emitted during braking, can reduce emissions by 85 to 90%.
