On July 9, 2020, the European Union adopted the mobility package resulting in a new version of the tachograph for 2024.
The technical specifications will be published by September 2021. We already know that the device will automatically record the GPS positions of the truck at the borders and during loading / unloading.
This tachograph will be mandatory by 2026 and will also have to be fitted to vans over 2.5 tonnes.
