Germany bans diesel truck traffic

News of the 03/12/2018

For the first time, Germany has banned the movement of Euro V trucks on a portion of the A40 motorway.

It is the municipality of Essen which has just been condemned because of overtaking of the antipollution norms by the German justice: it is the 10th city in this case.

These cascade convictions in the space of a few weeks are linked to the fact that Germany has seen its air quality decreased in 2017 and is one of the 15 most polluted countries according to the G20 criteria.
