Following the heat wave last week, the government announced major changes to the traffic control.
Until now, the ban on vehicles with a Crit'Air greater than 3 and alternate traffic were at the discretion of prefects but the government now wants the triggering of these measures is automatic according to defined thresholds of pollution. Now only vehicles with a Crit'Air from 0 to 2 will be allowed and the measure will not be applied in Paris but in all major cities.
