Some mountain roads must be used by trucks equipped with winter tires, chains or socks, since the publication of the Mountain II law in 2020.
Although the sanctions will not be applied until the end of 2022, carriers must take them into account now. Solo tractors must be fitted with anti-skid devices on at least two driving wheels and winter tires on two steered wheels.
As for trailers, it will be necessary to put in place removable non-slip devices enabling at least two driving wheels to be fitted.
