A Romanian driver has just been sentenced for breaking through toll gates on numerous occasions.
This 41-year-old traveled regularly in the Basque Country and would have torn down toll gates 115 times so as not to have to pay. Stopped by the Biarritz police at a toll, he explained to them his practice of the fact that his electronic toll badge had broken down and that his employer was doing nothing to replace it.
The ASF estimated the damage at nearly €20,000 and the driver was given a three-month suspended prison sentence.
