The Xwing Company is developing an autonomous piloting system for long-distance deliveries that do not have commercial flights available.
Xwing is a California startup that focuses solely on implementing the technology but doesn't build the planes. The solution is being implemented on existing aircraft, Cessna in particular.
It has just completed live demonstrations with a fleet of Cessna Grand Caravans and is expected to obtain approval in 2022 for commercial autonomous flights between 150 and 800 km initially.
