As of Sunday, September 12, trucks will no longer be able to travel on the AP-7 motorway in Catalonia.
This highway was the victim of very important traffic jams at the Franco-Catalan border between La Jonquera and Perthus. It is very popular because of its free admission. To put an end to these traffic jams, the authorities have therefore decided to ban truck traffic from this Sunday.
Professionals, including the Catalan transport federation, have expressed their dissatisfaction but it should be noted that other measures of this type will be taken very soon by the Catalan authorities.
