On May 14, France published its plan for the autonomous vehicle following the report of Mrs. Anne-Marie Idrac who is the senior manager for the strategy of the development of the autonomous vehicle.
This plan aims to define the gradual entry of the autonomous vehicle into the French car fleet (individuals and freight carriers). The tests will begin in 2019 and will be conducted mainly in the Paris region on the emergency stop bands.
At the time of this publication, the managers also specified that several working groups were set up to define all the aspects gravitating around the progressive setting up of the autonomous driving (financing, legal framework, responsibilities, etc.).
