The Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region wants to become a pioneer in hydrogen transport and offers help for companies wishing to use this fuel.
PME, La Poste or the carrier Delmonico Dorel were interested in the project. The overall budget is 70 million euros, which also allows the region to deploy a fleet of 1,000 hydrogen vehicles for businesses.
At the moment the aid is intended for vehicles with a tonnage of 2.5 to 3.5 t but the region wants large vehicle manufacturers to come and settle in the region.
