How AFT supports young people and job seekers in the transport sector

News of the 29/09/2023

From November 13 to 17, on the occasion of School/Business week, the AFT is launching a vast campaign to promote transport and logistics professions. The objective is to introduce young people and job seekers to the opportunities and challenges of this dynamic and varied sector. To do this, AFT relies on players in the field: transporters, National Education, Pôle emploi and other integration structures.

The name of this operation is “Transport-Logistics in motion”. It includes two main components: company visits and original job dating. Nearly 200 company visits are planned, with the participation of more than 150 companies and more than 200 classes (i.e. more than 4,000 young people involved). Registrations are still open.

Job-dating is intended for adults, whether they are already qualified or in the process of professional retraining. They will take place in each region, in the form of a fun and sporting activity shared between candidates and recruiters, without the latter knowing each other. It’s a unique way to highlight everyone’s human and relational skills. After this activity, the candidates and recruiters introduce themselves and talk during more traditional but also more friendly interviews.
