News of the 29/01/2018

The CST (consortium Cargo Sous Terrain) has just finalized the acquisition of the budget of 100 million Swiss francs for the launch of the underground transport project in Switzerland.

The first phase of the project involves the completion of a 70 km section on three sides. Automated trolleys will circulate on this section to bring goods from Härkingen and the city of Zurich.

The end of this first phase is scheduled for 2029.

This tunnel will lead to a 30% drop in PL traffic in the cities and 40% on motorways and if the first phase of the project is successful other tunnels will be created for the city of Geneva, especially for a total budget of 33 billion Swiss francs.
