The new Actros and Arocs models are now equipped with a change of direction assistant capable of stopping the truck.
On previous versions, the assistant only warned the driver with an audible and visual signal, but now the truck stops automatically if the driver does not react to the alert.
The change of direction assistant is able to detect cyclists, pedestrians but also electric scooters which are now part of the urban landscape.
