The new Climate Bill will give the regions the option of whether or not to apply the "new formula" ecotax.
This environmental tax will be in the form of a mandatory sticker for the transport of goods. The willingness to implement it varies from region to region. Thus in Ile-de-France, Valérie Pécresse is favorable to it. This is also the case for the Grand Est region.
The eastern region is experiencing congestion on the roads with trucks going to Spain and wants the situation to change. Elected officials are studying the implementation of the ecotax but still wonder if this is the best solution.
Finally the North, Normandy and the Hauts de France are opposed to the establishment.
