Following the war in Russia, the European Commission deployed the “RepowerEU” plan to repatriate part of the production to Europe.
The objective is to replace by 2030 20% of Russian gas imports with biomethane produced exclusively in Europe. For this, massive investments of 80 billion euros are planned and thus go from an annual production of 3 to 35 billion m 3 .
This production will already be doubled this year.
