The new Spanish president Pedro Sanchez wants to make almost all free motorways.
As of November 2018, 84 kilometers of the AP-1 highway will become free following rapidly in 2019 by 468 kilometers of AP-4 (Seville-Cadiz) and the AP-7 (Tarragona-Alicante).
It will be necessary to reach the end of the various private concessions so that the state makes the remainder free: thus in 2021, 479 kilometers will be released again.
The Spanish opposition denounces the ecological impact that this measure could have but also its cost which would be around 450 million euros per year.
