Like France and Germany, Spain will sanction the weekly rest from 45h in the cabin from 1 January 2018.
This ban follows the decision of 20 December 2017 by the Court of Justice of the European Union that clarified that the rest in the cabin was illegal. The fine set will be proportional to the time the driver spent resting in his cabin. This evolution of the regulations aims to fight against unfair competition.
