The anger of unions following the mobility package

News of the 11/06/2018

On June 4, the European Parliament voted on the mobility package, which provoked the anger of trade union organizations including CFDT Transports and FO Transports.

Among the changes foreseen in the mobility package, the trade unions criticize:

  • the posting of workers who would be allowed for international transport and banned only for cabotage;
  • cabotage authorized with the 7-day frame;
  • Regular weekly rest in the authorized cabin in secure car parks.

CFDT Transports and FO Transports are planning actions in July if these changes are kept in the vote on 5 July in plenary session in the European Parliament.
