Last Wednesday, a gendarmerie patrol intercepted a van on the A7 which was overloaded by 5.5 tonnes.
This was carrying a very large quantity of children's bicycles, some of which were unsecurely attached to the outside of the vehicle. The foreign driver was heading south to embark by sea for Tunisia.
