The new regulations on the transport of hazardous materials are now in force

January 1 , 2023 saw the entry into force of the new version of the international regulations on the transport of dangerous goods (TDG), which are revised every two years. This update concerns the land, maritime, river and air modes and certain aspects are supplemented by national decrees.

Land transport of dangerous goods, including ADR, RID and ADN, has also been updated, but it is still allowed to apply their 2021 version until June 30, 2023. The new version of the ADR, which was published in 2023, includes amendments on the obligations of controllers and the design of portable tanks.

In France, a decree from the Ministry of Ecological Transition was published on December 24 to modify the TMD decree relating to the land transport of hazardous materials, with minor modifications.
