Every two years ADR (Agreement for Dangerous Goods by Road) is updated. The next update will take place next year and is mainly about the transportation of lithium batteries.
The main novelties of this 2019 version will require the appointment of a safety adviser for all shippers and a review of the packaging of batteries.
Through two special directives (DS188 and DS 670), batteries sent for dismantling will be subject to new packaging regulations. This will also be the case for batteries considered as prototypes (produced less than 100 copies).
