A reckless driver on the ski slopes! This is what Italian trackers discovered when they intercepted a Polish Renault Master driven by a young 24-year-old Belarusian. The driver had tried to cross the La Thuile station, located on the French-Italian border, to avoid the Mont-Blanc tunnel. He was supposed to deliver fabrics to France, but he got stuck in the snow while trying to put on his chains.
His misadventure cost him dearly: not only did he have to turn back to go through the Mont-Blanc tunnel (and pay the toll), but he also received a fine of 200 euros. Luckily for him, he hadn't drunk any alcohol.
